What is the H-town Beer Passport?
H-Town Beer Passport was born out of a simple idea: to celebrate Houston’s craft beer culture and help people discover the incredible local breweries across our city and surrounding areas. As longtime supporters of Houston’s taprooms, we saw how many amazing breweries were flying under the radar — and realized we could build a fun, community-driven way to bring them to light.
Our mission started modestly: gather a group of friends with a thirst for new hops, new spaces, and new experiences. From there, the idea grew into something much bigger: a printed passport to guide beer lovers to new breweries, build community, and support local businesses. What began as a personal passion project has evolved into H-Town Beer Passport — a platform to explore, connect, and give back.
Our Mission
Promote Local Breweries — We want to encourage exploration of Houston’s full brewery scene — from long-standing favorites to new hidden gems — giving taprooms a boost in traffic and visibility.
Build Community Through Beer — Tasting, stamping, sharing stories, and supporting your hometown breweries is about more than just beer — it’s about connections.
Give Back to Houston — For every passport sold, a portion goes to support local charities (like the Houston Food Bank). Over time we plan to expand charitable outreach with drives, charity events, and community fundraisers.
Create an Experience, Not Just a Product — The passport is designed to be more than a booklet — it’s your ticket to discovering breweries, trying new beers, making memories, and supporting local culture.
How It Works
1. Purchase Your Passport
Purchase the H-Town Beer Passport online or from a participating brewery. The passport grants membership access to participate in the H-Town Beer Passport promotional program and brewery visit experience.
2. Visit Participating Breweries
Explore any participating brewery listed in the directory during its regular business hours. Each location operates independently and sets its own policies, pricing, and promotions.
3. Check In With Your Passport
Present your passport to brewery staff to identify yourself as a Passport participant. Participating breweries may, at their sole discretion, offer a promotional item, discount, or experience to Passport participants in accordance with their own promotional policies and applicable laws.
All alcoholic beverage promotions are determined, funded, and administered solely by the participating brewery.
4. Collect a Stamp
When you visit a participating brewery and engage in the Passport program at that location, the brewery may stamp your passport on its designated page as a record of your visit.
5. Optional Food or Beverage Promotions
Some breweries may choose to extend optional food or beverage promotions to Passport participants. All such promotions:
Are determined exclusively by the brewery
Are subject to availability and house policies
May change or be discontinued at any time
6. Continue Exploring
Visit participating breweries throughout the program period to collect stamps and enjoy each location’s unique atmosphere and offerings. Participation in brewery promotions is always subject to the individual brewery’s discretion and applicable regulations.
7. Complete the Passport & Raffle Entry
Participants who collect stamps from all listed breweries may submit their completed passport at a participating location to receive a H-Town Beer Passport Glass and enter the year-end raffle for promotional prizes. 3 winners will be picked.
No purchase of alcohol is required to enter or win the raffle. Official rules apply.
